OOPS!!!

OK so in my excitement to finally update my blog with all that has been going on in the last month or so, I forgot half of our vacation. (thanks to pregnancy) So this may be out of order but at least I'm doing it. We also went to Mt. Rushmore and were able to take a lot of pictures. I had never been there before so it was so exciting to see. The weather was a little cold, but well worth it. There was this little diner called Arnold's in the parking lot across from our hotel. We went to eat there before Cissy had to catch her flight. It was a 50's diner and what a great little place it was. It had jukeboxes at every table and and the old Boothe's to sit in and the floor was black and white checked. We liked it so much we went back that night for shakes and malts. You should have seen Kay, Dick, Paul, Sonya, Buzz and Cissy reminiscing and talking about old times and trying to name all the songs that came on. It was such a great time. On our way home we stopped at Devil's tower. Wow how amazing that was. There were men getting ready to climb it!!! (Crazy) That thing is so large. Brax wasn't sure about it, he kept looking up. So that was the end of our trip. We had the best time. Thanks to everyone for making the time to come. We enjoyed seeing everyone and spending time with all of you.

zoo

Mike and I took Braxton to the Hoogle Zoo. This was his first time at the zoo and he pointed to all the animals and had such a great time. It was a great day. He was such a trooper he wanted to see everything. We ended the day by taking the train ride around the zoo.

Winery, Swimming in South Dakota

Here is a little more of our trip to South Dakota. We went to Prairie Berry winery. That was a lot of fun. Brax and I had never been to a winery. LOL Mike took Brax swimming every night. It was an indoor pool and the shallowest part was 2ft. so it was perfect for Brax. He could walk around on his own. We visited Deadwood and old gambling town. Very cute little town. We went into Saloon #10 and watched a shoot out with wild bill and then had some pictures taken. Then we walked around the town and gambled a little. Mike and Kay were able to win.

Crazy Horse

It's been awhile since I have blogged about what is going on. This will be catch up time. This last week we took a trip to South Dakota to see Crazy horse and Mt. Rushmore. We went with Mike's parents and his aunt and uncle paul and Sonya, then his aunt Cissy and uncle Buzz flew in to meet us. It was such a great time. Well except the drive to and from. It was pretty long. Braxton was such a good traveler. We made sure to take books and toys so that he would be occupied. Mike, Kay, Cissy and Buzz all hiked up to Crazy horse monument on Sunday. The rest of us stayed behind. The weather was rainy and we weren't sure what the trail would be like, so me being pregnant and Brax little we didn't want to go. It turned out to be a great day and they were able to hike to the top with no problems. What a great experience. So next year we will go.
