We love the snow!!
This weekend it has snowed like crazy. We are so excited for the snow. We have had such a mild winter but now here it comes and we love it. We were ready for Brax to play in the snow except for snow boots. Luckily my mom was out shopping this weekend and was able to find some in his size. So Sunday Mike and I bundled Brax and ourselves up and went into the backyard for his first real time in the snow. He wasn't so sure about it but after a little while he came alive and was all about eating the snow of course. We made snow angles, even mom and dad did. When I laid him in the snow he was not having that, that's why he is crying in one of the pictures. It was so fun to be child like again. What a great time we had.

POLAR EXPRESS
Last Saturday my sisters and I took our kiddos down to the Heber railroad to ride the POLAR EXPRESS. I think for me it was more exciting than for Braxton. Since he is only One. I couldn't wait to have him wear his pajamas and slippers, just like the movie. It was so fun though, the weather was perfect. We waited in line to board the train, than got to pick our seats. The train was decorated with garland and lights. It was very festive. They gave us hot chocolate, cookies and the kids got a bell from Santa at the end. We sang Christmas carols and took pictures. My only complaint would be is that it did run a Little long, even the older kids were getting a little restless and the train was extremely warm. Oh and there is not bathroom. Not a problem for me right now, but they serve the hot chocolate at the beginning so some of the kiddos needed to potty. We took pictures in front of the train and then went out for some dinner. It was a great night!! Thanks ladies.

It's fun to be one!!!
Last friday November 14th Braxton turned one. we had a big party saturday for him, with family, fun and friends. This was so fun for Mike and I, we blew up a ton of balloons and decorated the whole house. Having childred defintaly brings out the kid in you. He wasn't sure what was going on but he knew it was all about him. The balloons were the best, he loved them. Even when daddy popped them he was such a big boy and didn't even cry.
We gave him his own little chocolate cake. He looked at it at first, then stuck one finger in to taste the chocolate. So we helped him along a little and stuck one of his hands in it and it was all over from there on out. He knew to make a mess and eat a little also. What a little hoot he is. When he realized everyone was watching him he really hammed it up.
Then we did presents. How fun is that. As all parents with little ones know you have to be speedy and hurry things along, so we jumped into the presents. He got some cute stuff and was very pleased with everything. Granmap and Grandpa Hanks gave him the cutest little brown rocking chair. They have a white one at there house for him and he just loves it. Now he has is own he can rock in anytime. Thanks to everyone who came and helped out with the party and for all you gifts. We appreciate all of you.
One of the gifts was a tent with balls in it. If you know Brax he loves any kind of ball. So things got a little crazy throwing balls and of course it was Mr. Mike who started it. It was a good time until one of our lamp shades got broke and Zack cut his hand. So needless to say we were done. Zack was ok and now i get to find a new lamp shade. If your going to allow that to happen you can't be upset if something gets broken and it's just materalistic. It can be replaced. It was a great 1st Birthday for Braxton.

Being mischevious
Our mischevious little Braxton loves to help mommy do the laundry a little too much. He loves to take everything out of the dryer and throw it on the floor and then he laughes, as if he knows mommy has to pick it back up. So this time I turned around and the little stinker was climbing into the dryer. Mike was in the kitchen so I yelled to him to grab the camera. So we were able to watch this little goof ball climb into the dryer and then sat down like he was suppose to me in there.

Braxton's first Halloween
This was Braxton's first Halloween and he was the cutest spider ever. Lol!! Every mom says that about their kidos. We had a great day, it started out by stopping over at Grandma Kay's house, then over to mommy's work, to show my little spider off. One more stop, off to daddy's work and to do a littlt trick or treating. we walked around the hospital gathering candy. Everyone was so suprised to see how big he was and how well he was walking. What a great Halloween!!
Halloween tradition
Our tradition is to meet downtown for Halloween and take the kids trick or treating to all the business. Sondi and Breson always come up and go with us. I have always gone to watch the kids. It's so fun to see them dressed up and get so excited. So needless to say this year was even better cause I had my own little spider to take trick or treating. Grandma Nancy's always comes to help out with the kids and be apart of the fun. This year we were lucky enough to have little Lucis and Eric (Jake my brother's kidos) come along with us. We were only missing the newest addition, Wesley (Dubs kido, my other brother) they live in Arizona. So they weren't able to be there.
We had so much fun and the kids were so excited. We went down to the machine shop after. They had a carnival. It was te first year they have done it. It was so great. I hope they do it again next year. There was a big blow-up slide and trampoline for the little kids. Braxton and Lucis had so much fun, they didn't want to get out. Tayler was a night fairy, Eric was a Denver Bronco football player, Breson and Carter were Optimus prime, Lucis was tigger and our little Braxter was a spider. What a great Halloween it was. We hope you all had a wonderful and safe one.

Braxton's adventures
Braxton got a new big boy bed from our friends Sean and Jen (thanks). So of course he is too little to be in it, but it is so small and cute we couldn't resist and had to put it together. We have room in his bedroom so we thought we could just put
it in the corner. Daddy and Brax had to play first. Mike had Brax jumping off it into his arms as soon as it was put toghther. Luckily it is very close to the ground and we put pillows around it. Sunday morning we slept in so we got Brax up and and put him in bed with us but of course it was play time again, but this time he got himself stuck at the end of our bed. He was such a good sport. He just kept looking at us like what the heck and of course we were laughing so hard cuz he such a little ham and just made the best of it. We finally got him out and put him on the floor and he was out of there. He is also loving the big boy cups. Luckily they don't leak. He likes to throw them.

Braxton's first words
Last night we were watching a movie and Brax was playing with his toys and being a goofball like he is and he started saying mamamama for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes. I know cheezy, but he said dada first at about 8 months and now he can say....booper (our dog Cooper), dada, kucka and an extended mamama. So exciting!!

October fun!
We had all the families over for dinner and pumpkin carving. Ok So most of the dad's got to carve the pumpkins, but it was a blast!! We took the kidos pictures on our decorations outside for some fun pictures. Well actually Sondi did. She has an awsome camera and is taking photography classes. So who else to take them. Thanks Sondi Sue. October has been a great month.
