Last friday November 14th Braxton turned one. we had a big party saturday for him, with family, fun and friends. This was so fun for Mike and I, we blew up a ton of balloons and decorated the whole house. Having childred defintaly brings out the kid in you. He wasn't sure what was going on but he knew it was all about him. The balloons were the best, he loved them. Even when daddy popped them he was such a big boy and didn't even cry.
We gave him his own little chocolate cake. He looked at it at first, then stuck one finger in to taste the chocolate. So we helped him along a little and stuck one of his hands in it and it was all over from there on out. He knew to make a mess and eat a little also. What a little hoot he is. When he realized everyone was watching him he really hammed it up.
Then we did presents. How fun is that. As all parents with little ones know you have to be speedy and hurry things along, so we jumped into the presents. He got some cute stuff and was very pleased with everything. Granmap and Grandpa Hanks gave him the cutest little brown rocking chair. They have a white one at there house for him and he just loves it. Now he has is own he can rock in anytime. Thanks to everyone who came and helped out with the party and for all you gifts. We appreciate all of you.
One of the gifts was a tent with balls in it. If you know Brax he loves any kind of ball. So things got a little crazy throwing balls and of course it was Mr. Mike who started it. It was a good time until one of our lamp shades got broke and Zack cut his hand. So needless to say we were done. Zack was ok and now i get to find a new lamp shade. If your going to allow that to happen you can't be upset if something gets broken and it's just materalistic. It can be replaced. It was a great 1st Birthday for Braxton.
